Back in Italy

I can say and think nothing more than Split is wonderful. I think I want to move there! I'm a little woozy today from all the travel boats, trains, cars, buses... In Split we spent lots of time at the beach. The sea is soooo cold! Yesterday we sailed to Brac to spend time at a beach called "The Tongue." It's called that b/c the beach comes to a point and the current moves the tip back and forth. You could go one day, and a few days later it will be in a different place! This place is a topless beach. Oh my. Consider me awkwarded out. We kept playing in the sea all day. It is very very salty. And clear as glass. The beach was rocky and not sandy. I definitely got a little bronze. Luckily I didn't sunburn. We got to our b&b this afternoon in Florence. We didn't oversleep on the boat today, which was really nice. This afternoon we are exploring downtown Florence. Tomorrow we are going to the science museum in the morning and we have reservations at Ufizzi Gallery and Accademia in the afternoon. We still haven't missed a day of gelato eating, but I'm pretty sure my body is starting to look like I eat gelato everyday. :(
Off I go to explore a new city... Bok... Ciao... pick your poison ;)

Sounds like you are having a wonderful time! So glad you are enjoying the gelato... I was surprised to see you were planning to visit the Science Museum. I was there and it was practically empty. Did you see Galileo's telescope? and his finger??? Ciao!

Hey chickita. It was SO good to talk to you yesterday! I hope you enjoyed the rest of your day. I wonder if you found the restaurant ... (yeah i know the map i drew for you wasnt exactly 100% clear) I miss you more than you could imagine. I'm so glad you're having a great time.

You're quickly convincing me to come see the beaches there. I've been hanging out at Lake Travis a lot recently ... and realize how much i've missed the water. I'm glad you're getting to see some gorgeous ones ... even if they are nude beaches. Its a good thing i primed you by taking you by hippie hollow.

until next time ... i love you! ariva derche...

We really liked the Science Museum this morning. I'm so in awe of the creation the scientists were capable of! B, I think we found your restaurant today, and had lunch there. We thought we had found it last night, and ate at that place...it was not wonderful and was convinced that you were playing a joke on me. The place today was better. I miss home, you, the pups, family... you get the drift. See you soon!

PS: The name of the restaurant was Vini e Vecchi Sapori, at Via dei Magazzini, 3/R(red). But I really liked Becky's map!

Becky & I ate at 2 other good restaurants: Parione (Via del Parione, 74/76 r) which was the most expensive of the trip and La Martinicca on Via del Sole 27/r near Santa Maria Novella church, moderate price. Also, near Santa Maria Novella is a really cool perfume and herb place called Officina Profumo- Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella, on Via della Scala 16. bye!
